Smaller sea shipments normally shipped by sharing the space inside a container with other shipments going to the same or nearby port direct or through a hub. LCL is a shipment that will not fill a container and transit time is always longer than FCL (Full container load) shipments. That means we can offer space within a container that is shared with other customer's goods to deliver economical usage based costing.
We offer Less than Container Load (LCL) cargo service to every major port around the world. Departure schedules are generally well managed from end-to-end to ensure customer's requirements and promises are kept. If needed, we utilize strategic consolidation hubs in Asia, India, Africa & UAE and for expedite customer's shipments we arrange a sea-air services combination. In addition to our standard LCL shipping service, customer can take advantage of our completively priced door pickup at origin &/or delivery at destination.
Our LCL shipping solutions allow customer to reduce inventory costs quicker, decrease the risk of obsolescence sooner, and customer will benefit from greater control, high security and better visibility while the shipments are on the water. So, customer still gets the same care and protection as a full container load.
LCL shipments are either palletized or crated for safe arrival even though it increases the dimensions and weight of the shipment. Charges are based on the Cubic Meter (CBM = 35.31 CFT) or Metric Ton, which ever is greater and the charges are applied on the Gross Volume/Weight & not on the Net. Cubic Feet calculation: L"xW"xH" divide by 1728 = Cubic Feet (cft).
